Training of Trainers Programme – Jakarta, Indonesia
We are pleased to announce that the fifth Training of Trainers programme took place from 12th to 22nd November 2007. 25 participants attended the programme. Out of this group 22 attended from various islands of Indonesia whilst two were from Timor Leste and one from Lao. Most of them were professionals in mental health with a diversity of roles such as social workers, counsellors, programme managers, project officers, psychiatry students, representing INGOs, NGOs, CBOs, Universities, Government service, etc.
The programme was conducted in association with Pulih Foundation in Indonesia – Centre for trauma recovery and psychosocial intervention.
Some of the comments offered by the participants on the overall assessment of the programme:
“The explanations are detailed, effective and efficient methods and easy to understand”.
“The 12-month follow up will be very helpful and useful”.
“Overall this is the best training I ever had”.
“I hope I could implement everything that I got from this training in to my everyday work, and also share it with my co-workers”.
All of them readily shared their experiences during the ten days of the programme giving their best and it was also a tremendous experience for all of us. All of us will agree that we gained knowledge and experience during these days for implementing psychosocial care programmes and we are glad to state that all have now prepared plans for psychosocial interventions in their own communities.

Hi, I'm Peni (Rifka Annisa WCC), one of the participants of the TOT. the training give me many ideas and inspirations to do more, especially to our program in providing counsellings to the survivor of the violence against women. I also glad when I read more about BN's programs that concern about women, its mean that we can share and discuss deeply, widely, about women and problems around it. Ok, nice to have contact with u, hope that we can still keep in touching.
Nice greeting and Best Regards,

Thanks Peni for posting your message on the blogsite. It is good to know that you are working on the issues that affect women in particular. It would be great to hear any other comments, questions, stories or anything else from former participants. Hope to hear from you!
Best wishes, Steve
