ToT programme on Promoting Mental health within Tsunami-affected Communities

The ToT programme was held from 17 to 27 May 2008 in Beruwela, Sri Lanka. Eight organisations sent 25 participants to the programme.

Most participants had an enormous amount of knowledge and experience from their field work and demonstrated the difficulties they faced in working with community mental health. Throughout the 10-day programme it was observed the active interaction each participant had to share through role plays, discussions and group work and we now look forward to the realisation of the follow up activities in participants’ own organisations.
